Was very impressed by Optica Numag at Plaza Armenia. Got six pairs of Biofinity Toric for 29000 pesos which is actually cheaper than in the UK. Turned around in two days and just used my old prescription from the UK. Not very hard at all.

Went to the barbers at Humboldt 2421 (more or less, maybe a couple of doors down). 1800 pesos as per the big sign outside. Lovely friendly guy who spoke a bit of English. Got a short back and sides.

Here for a couple of weeks as a tourist, no DNI. Is there a place I can get some new glasses quickly while I'm here? I've got my prescription already but a new eye test wouldn't be a bad thing. Something like Vision Express (for those of you from the UK) but doubt there's anything quite that fast!

Thanks all - for some feedback I got it sent by Royal Mail and it arrived here with Correo Argentina 3.5 weeks later. Was going to use DHL but it was 4 times the price. Just got it sent to a local here.
