    Dry Ice In Bsas

Hi everyone, I need to transport some frozen items from Buenos Aires back to Vancouver next week. I checked with the airline and I'm allowed to check 2.5kg of dry ice. Does anyone know where I could purchase some, preferably near Palermo? Thanks.

    Best Mexican Food - Where?

La frabrica del taco was recommended to me by a Mexican friend, so it's probably fairly authentic Mexican food. That said, the portions are pretty small and the prices are pretty expensive for what you get. I much preferred Lupita when I was in BsAs.

How Often Do We Have To Pay Reciprocity Fee.

Actually, Canada is offered a single entry or multi-entry (up to 5 years). I purchased the single entry the first time, and the multi-entry the second.

Follow-Up On Pub Crawl Attack From 1 Yr Ago

Hey Mike, Sorry to hear what happened to you. I completely emphasize - back in 2006 I was walking home from a bar in Vancouver when four random guys decided to put my head through a window and then stomp on my face. I just had my third round of reconstructive surgery this last September to...

can one buy gold in pesos legally?

I don't think that's correct. The Canadian mint is known for producing some of the world's most pure gold, and it's 99.99% only (although they produced a few 99.999% coins one time). Gold ingots, coins and bars typically vary between 99.9% and 99.99%.

    Tourist Apartments On Airbnb?

I think AirBNB offers both parties some protection though, so I think many want to stay within the system. https://www.airbnb.com/safety "When you book through Airbnb, your property is covered for loss or damage due to theft or vandalism caused by an Airbnb guest for up to $50,000." "All...

    Tourist Apartments On Airbnb?

I rented my last apartment in BsAs from AirBNB (from May until July of 2012). The apartment was expensive by Argentine standards, but it was right in the heart of Palermo and was marketed as something a bit more high end. They asked me before I showed up what groceries I wanted (mostly beer in...

    Link to CFK Harvard event.

I was watching from Vancouver, Canada, and I agree, he didn't seem prepared at all. The very first thing he did was to mispronounce her name, which seemed really amateurish and showed lacked of preparation. That said, I was pretty blown away by the fact that CFK was almost 50 minutes late to...

Legal ways to profit from USD

Given that the unofficial exchange rate looks to be somewhere around 6.5 to 1 for USD, I was wondering what ways exists to basically make a profit off of selling USD. For example, if someone were to come for a visit and show up with $9,999 USD (I believe $10,000 is the limit at which you have...

    Triple Sec

I am trying to make some homemade margaritas this weekend, and apparently I need triple sec - anyone know where I can find it in BsAs? I checked two supermercados, but I couldn't find any. Thanks.

    The Gold Standard?

Devaluing a currency is basically theft - you can't create value out of nothing, the money they are creating to pay debts comes about because it devalues the holdings of all the people who have the currency in possession. So yes, while going off the gold standard caused many countries to be...

Just arrived and looking to meet people!

Welcome! I'm a Canadian guy living in BsAs right now. I actually spent a drunken New Year's Eve down at Whiskey River in your city a few years ago! Good times.

    The Gold Standard?

Also Warren Buffet isn't a typical investor, he owns a holding company (Berkshire Hathaway) and can invest time and resources into every single company he adds to the portfolio - the average investor doesn't have the skills or the time to do that. Of course he is going to lean towards...
