    Basketball

Thanks for the info and tips. I might look this place up. Other people have given me similar info on other courts around the city but I was hoping to find a simpler way. I have an indoor court about 3 blocks away but it only opens on Tuesdays and it's only to teach little kids how to play. No...

    Basketball

Hi everyone, Do any of you get together to play basketball? I use to play a lot back in NY and PR but unfortunately there aren't many places or people that I know down here for that. If anybody has a group that gets together to play even if it's a place where I would have to pay a few bucks let...

    Recieving mail/packages from U.S.

It's really not something expensive. Just a cell phone case that cost like $16. I live in GBA Sur so I don't know if that will be an issue. It's worth a try and that way I'll know that I can keep doing it in the future, cause items like these are sometime not available in BA and if they are they...

    Recieving mail/packages from U.S.

In that case I think i'm gonna just tell them to send it then. Hopefully it will just arrive to my doorstep and i won't have to spend a whole morning in customs. Thanks for the info.

    Recieving mail/packages from U.S.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I think that might be the case but since it's more of a package and not something like a letter in an envelope i'm trying to find out from someone who has been living here and received stuff like this without going to customs.

    Recieving mail/packages from U.S.

Hey everyone, I got a question concerning shipping from The U.S to Buenos Aires. I have been living in BA over a year now and when I first arrived my parents sent me a box full of mostly edible goods from the states and I ended up having to go to customs to pick it up. Yesterday I ordered a...

    Arriving mid november

The Buenos Aires Job market is actually very good with hundreds of employment opportunities listed on job sites but it is also an overcrowded city with a lot of other candidates you will have to fight with for a job. There are some limited jobs that are of the books out there but they really...

    Hello everyone

Both are nice places down in the south and near some good beaches. A great thing about PR is that it's small and anyone can drive across the island in a matter of hours. They're close to 4 million people on the island yet it doesn't feel overcrowded. Especially if you get out of the San Juan area.

    Hello everyone

It is a beautiful island and I want to go back and visit, I miss my family and friends. The food thing sounds like a good idea but I'm not much of a cook and a some of the ingredients are hard to find down here. I been in B.A over a year and have not meet any Puerto Ricans but have seen a few...

Accessing own cash in BsAs, amex or xoom or bring Cash

I also agree that the second option is best, it would be better to bring the cash with you. as far as avoiding fake goes I am not an expert but you might want to change for pesos in small amounts with whatever person you choose in florida. then use them and if the bills check out keep buying...

    Hello everyone

Yeah both are nice places in the caribbean. Well to get pesos you can change dollars for them at the airport bank which is operated by the government. I heard that they recently eliminated the privately owned exchange booths. These are just rumors but I heard people say that in Capital in...

    Hello everyone

I'm actually mix of Puerto Rican with Dominican and I was born and raised in New York so I can't really say I am a "NewYoRican" and yes the language differs a bit. I wouldn't say that stuff like food and wines are cheaper here. In fact it can be quite expensive. In New York and PR we tend to...
