It will be quite hard to find a bus company that sells refundable tickets, unfortunately.

New DNIs available for foreigners yet?

Not true. I have the new DNI card and I'm not an Argentine citizen, just a permanent resident.

New DNIs available for foreigners yet?

The DNI card is just a wallet-friendly version of the DNI. Instead of carrying around the booklet for credit card purchases, etc., you simply need to show the card. The only thing you cannot do with the DNI card is vote.

4 days Mendoza -- what to do?

I have no idea about kayaking/canoeing trips but I can suggest another activity that you may be interested in - a bus tour that takes you through the cordillera to the Chilean border and back. They stop off at a few places along the way where you can take photos and have lunch. I haven't taken...

    Insecurity Here is Real

I'm sorry but that is a bit of a naive thing to say. These types of things happen everywhere in the city and in GBA. Obviously, certain areas are nicer than others and extra precautions can be taken to try to avoid such situations, but it all comes down to being in the wrong place at the wrong...

whats the best happy hour deal in bsas??

I went to Bar Cilantro (Anchorena 1122 in Barrio Norte) the other day and they had pretty good happy hour specials. 12 peso liter pitchers and half off all drinks and appetizers. Had 1 pitcher, 2 fernets and coke and 2 appetizers all for just 58 pesos. Not bad at all.

Most liveable barrios in BA not named Recoleta or Palermo?

I'd add Belgrano, Colegiales, Villa Urquiza, Villa del Parque, Villa Crespo and Chacarita to the list. I briefly visited Villa Ortúzar once and for the most part, it seemed like a decent area too. I'd definitely consider checking these areas out if you are looking to live a bit off of the...

pointers about the Colonia visa run

First, you need to go from Belgrano to the port - Dársena Norte in Puerto Madero for Buquebus, Dock Sud in La Boca for Colonia Express. You're looking at a 30-45 minute taxi ride, depending on traffic and what time of the day you'll be traveling. The ferry ride to Colonia takes an hour, unless...

    Culinary Arts programs in English?

My brother will be moving to Buenos Aires soon for a one year stay with us and would like to enroll in a culinary arts program while he is here (preferably a 3-10 month certificate program). He speaks no Spanish, which rules out a lot of the great cooking schools in the city, unfortunately...
