Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

These are all special flights and are indeed running. I’ve already sold space on previous special flights to Miami and Cancun. (All the Cancún pax were actually going to the US, this was simply what was available that week). I have several clients flying tonight, will confirm once they’re...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

This. In Canada we had to confirm we had a plan for this as a condition of being allowed into the country. Walmart and several other stores deliver whatever you need. We actually adopted a local verdulero that you make your order online and they deliver the next morning. It’s great. I cannot...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

No. Generally speaking, the EU’s rules are about where you’re coming from, not your passport. Americans can enter France from anywhere in Europe as well as from the 10 countries approved by the EU. (The EU approved arrivals from 10 countries at the end of July, including Australia; Canada...

How can an Argentine national leave the country?

There is a direct flight to JFK tomorrow with plenty of room. If you have a valid excuse to go to Canada (an immediate relative, for example), after 2 weeks there you can go to Europe without issue.

Buenos Aires considers allowing online gambling

I sure hope someone is thinking up slogans. “Play like there’s no tomorrow.” “Eat, drink and lose money, for tomorrow you die.”

I was writing this to people at the end of March.

    Kosher apts (+ food)

I’d have to think back, as this was several years ago. However, as you say finding someone in Chabad who would do this should not be impossible. If this is actually relevant, anyone could PM me and I’d find someone. PS This is the conversation I never expected to be having on this forum...

    Kosher apts (+ food)

Elevators is a whole can of worms that I am not about to open. Just not going there. At any rate, that is not a necessity, as simply requesting a low floor solves that particular problem.

    Kosher apts (+ food)

Wow that’s quite a thread bump! Not everyone is up to kashering a kitchen. I remember looking for people to kasher someone’s kitchen in BsAs a couple years back. I found someone in the end but it was not a 5-minute call and done. Kitchen not the only issue. Issues with electric locks...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

I am not sure this is correct. I do not believe that AR has released their schedule for special flights yet for September. I do know that a Sep 1st flight EZE-GRU “regular” flight was removed from GDS’s on Friday. LATAM is still selling a flight for that date, I assume that until it has lifted...

Are there no more repatration flights to the US from Argentina?

To Miami, not so fast. Aerolineas is sold out for most Fridays, and Eastern may also be - check their website. New York looks fine for now.

Are there no more repatration flights to the US from Argentina?

The border was never actually closed for Argentine citizens/residents. Argentina always allowed its own people to come and leave. (Compare with Australia, which bans nearly all travel out of the country). The closure consisted of cutting off nearly all flights except repatriation/special...

Are there no more repatration flights to the US from Argentina?

I have no idea what happens if you buy tickets directly from the airline - for people buying with me, it’s my job to let my clients know (unless the cancellation is last moment).

Are there no more repatration flights to the US from Argentina?

Lots of flights have been cancelled, yes, but lots are still being sold for September. It’s Argentina, so until the flights actually take off I suppose we won’t know.

Are there no more repatration flights to the US from Argentina?

There are a bunch of “special” flights. They’re not really calling them “repatriation” flights anymore, possibly because - most people that wished to be repatriated have long done so; perhaps not coincidentally, at least as far as the US is concerned, these flights are no longer solely for US...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

I must say that though for many years I expected that ni loco would I ever fly with Aerolineas, I flew with them to NY once and it was not half bad. Their economy service to NY was not worse than American’s, you could say it was better. Cleaner plane, far more courteous crew. I have quite a few...

Argentina re-opening international flights in August!

When the rules are intolerable, rule-breaking becomes inevitable. This sets the stage for selective enforcement, also known as corruption. Not sure if the people making the intolerable rules see that as a problem.

    1. We are in Canada, not the US. (We actually have already gotten sick, my whole family, because we were in New York in mid-March. Then again, that was at a family event - in fact some of my Argentine family got infected there too, and developed symptoms upon their return to Buenos Aires. If...

The pandemic: The view after 5 months

Not sure about the veracity of the studies re children not transmitting the virus. I haven’t done a deep dive myself, but I understand this is the subject of lots of debate. Again, I do want to stress that this was a modified form of normal. Parents were not allowed on the premises for any...
