Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

How much did it change from your expectation?

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

Those are nice places, but I think it's pretty tough to get a visa to retire in the EU to be honest.

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

What countries in Europe did you have in mind? I know, for example, Portugal is popular with expats, but has apparently has gotten much more expense due to the influx of them. The other thing with Europe is that it can be harder to get a visa. There are some exceptions though like Portugal and...

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

Wow, then prices have more than doubled in USD terms since October? That's totally insane.

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

I'm not sure if my budget would be tight now. Has it changed so much that it went from being able to have a very comfortable life on 3k per month to being tight?

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

Yea, that would be perfect if I had a friend in BA that I could chat with. Like, someone from a similar background as me. I can't live there before I stop working unfortunately.

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

People are saying like 'if you only care about price go here', or 'if you only care about price don't go to Argentina' but of course there's always somewhere cheaper go. Also, more expense places for that matter. Maybe this is an unanswerable question. Right before the election people were...

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

I've been there and I do like it, but if I can't afford a solid lifestyle there, then that doesn't really matter..

Is Argentina Still a Good Deal?

Let's say you're trying to decide where to retire abroad. With the recent price increases in USD terms does it make sense to focus on other options in South America? Or maybe to just give them more consideration than before?

How much more are you paying for your health (prepaga) insurance?

This thread is scary. What are people doing if they retire in BA on a fixed income and these costs are tripling.

Any ideas why the blue and MEP rates have dropped so much this month?

How much more expensive do you think it will get?

Argentina’s restaurants shine brightly (Micheline guide)

This is a forum for foreigners to talk to other foreigners. Who cares if some people on here want to talk about fancy restaurants? If going to places like that isn't for you then that's cool too, but I don't see why it would be an issue for others to discuss.

Is there some way to tell how much more expensive BA is getting/has gotten

Apparently there has been a significant amount of inflation in dollar terms. If you don't live there, is there some way to monitor the trend of prices to get a sense of the change in overall cost of living? I don't think numbeo would work for this purpose.

How Much Would This Lifestyle Cost

There are often posts on this site and others asking whether someone could live in a given place for a certain amount of money. The answer of course depends on many factors. So, instead of doing that I was thinking I could break down the lifestyle I want high level and maybe people could tell me...
