Isn't it kind of a waste of time debating whether public officials are corrupt or not? Everyone in politics plays the same corrupt game and they are not going to let you in the game unless you play by those same rules. The key elements are personal favors, influence and power, and favoritism. That is what politics is. Then, you get a guy like Stiusso involved in the mix. That adds a level of understanding of power and influence that most politicians can only dream of. Stiusso was a master spook and you know that he had his a@@ covered six ways to Sunday.

The way those guys think is scary. I worked in a corporation with a former CIA guy. We spent our time thinking about our work projects and making a good impression with the bosses who might then give us a promotion based on merit. He, on the other hand, masterminded a huge party at a mansion he rented for the weekend. All the bosses were invited, but no wives. Then the hired women showed up. They looked like they walked off of the cover of Vogue. He had the place covered with hidden cameras and got photos of the married guys having sex with these women. His promotional trajectory in the company was like a shooting star while the rest of us slaved over the weekends on Power Point projects.
