22% of the UBA medical students are foreigners!! These are the fruits of fur wearing, designer bag carrying socialism!!

Some stay, at least for a while, some don’t. They’re mostly Brazilians and Colombians I believe. Universities in both of those countries are mostly private and unpayable for many.

Those who stay earn very well by the way, doctors’ fees for “guardia” are quite lucrative.

Medical education being free for foreigners is extremely ridiculous. UBA. Seriously one of the best universities in the world. They become doctors and leave. Argentine universities are for Argentines (for free).

Agree. It does not happen anywhere in the world.
I would dare say, it should be free for only born citizens of Argentina. Not even for naturalized ones.
No way for temporary/permanent residents bla bla.

I don’t understand what you are saying. Permanent residents and naturalized citizens are of course entitled to same rights in terms of public services. They’re here afterwards. And they’ve been contributing to the society. But foreign students are being a burden in the economy as the people of Argentina pick up their tab.

I would rather see a policy that simply says if you pay your fair and entire share of taxes in Argentina on your global income and assets, you will have "free" access to these public services. If you don't pay, you don't get them for "free".

Health care and education like any service that generates wages to pay and lights to keep on, don't depend on who you are or where you're from, but ultimately if someone pays for them or not.

How much global income and assets did you have when you were a student?
Enough to pay a minimum tax rate on my minimum wage part-time job - which I would consider my fair share for free university education and healthcare that I enjoyed in my country at the time.
