Hello...You right! This words don´t exist. It´s very sad and unfortunate. People here aren´t friendly. Don´t worry! jajaja

But now I disagree Exe because we have some amazing employees who beat themselves up too much when things arent perfect..even though they are exceptional people and employees....Bsas like anywhere has fantastic people, you just need to find them.We were initially too trusting and believed all that stuff about an unending source of educated employees in Bsas...forgetting that attitude counts as much if not more than expertise...it's all about learning.

Obviously you are talking about Germany and are just confused. Canadians (not from Quebec) and English are the most passive aggressive people around. They are drilled into them from birth that politeness is super important. That's just it, be polite; doesn't matter what you really think inside. That's the falseness the poster was referring to. As for the quality of the goods produced by them, I have a LandRover so I know just how good the English are at making the worst quality vehicle on the road consistently for 50 years. That being said, if you are only suggesting that Canadian and English are better than Argentinos at better at making products, then I might agree with you. But that isn't saying much.

Well at least your Land Rover is one of the most beautiful vehicles ever produced. :)

I personally think the Porteno, and for the most part, Argentine culture is just too arrogant to admit any wrong-doing. Instead they rely on recriminations. A law student and I recently had a conversation in which I asked him why he chose law since he seemed to be more interested in business. His response was to give me a fictional scenario. He said that, for example, if he was ever involved in a serious automobile accident with an old lady that was 100% his fault, even if he were drunk driving, he wanted be able to sue and not only win but force her to admit culpability. He wanted to know the law, judges and actors so well that he would have all the power.

And this was a guy who wanted to go into business with me thinking somehow that I would appreciate his cunning as a potential business partner. I never distanced myself from someone so fast...

Have you crossed over General Paz? Porteños account for probably 6% of the total population. And yes, I agree about their arrogance and lack of ability to think outside of the box in most. However, your generalization about "Argentinean culture" is as arrogant as your accusation. The people from the "interior" have very different traditions. In fact the most evident qualities in them all, are their kindness and simplicity. I suggest you leave Palermo & Recoleta you may come accross nice people.

Like any big city; the further away you get from BA, the more laid back people are.
As to the OP question, we all find it difficult to apologise for our mistakes.
We're only human after all.
Politicians or those in power on the other hand...............................

You are right. Perhaps more travel would improve my attitude. To this I would just like to add; I'm sorry, I was wrong, It won't happen again.

I am Italian. I have the passport to prove it. You are only half way there with your analysis, extend the thinking out to what an Italian might do if they messed up...... . Italians are skilled liars with a million excuses as to why such and such wasn't done or completed on time or whatever.

On the one hand, you say English and Canadians are fake and imply that Italians (and Argentines) are honest. But before that you say Italians are skilled liars with a million excuses.

Do you realize your credibility has sunk low with your contradictory stereotyping?

Do you realize that drawing incorrect inferences from what someone else says is the sign of a cluttered mind? Either that, or you have a poor grasp on the English language.

Ás far as I know only one world leader has ever done this convincingly. Julius Nyere, who ruled Tanzania for more than 20 years (through 85) gave a moving speech when he retired saying his form of socialist rule didn´t work, that he was wrong and he apologized to his nation.

He was a son-of-a-bitch, but he did say ´sorry´.

Does anyone ever believe that any Argentine in power would ever say these words?

Going back to the original thread, which seems to have gone way, way off-topic, NB. that in Argentina there is no direct translation for the word greedy. It took me a while to work out that here, they don't understand the greedy concept. Just try to explain it to someone and watch what happens !!!
