A Sad Day For All Cristina Supporters...de Vido Detained

He may benefit if he rats on other delinquents.. Arrepentido...

(Sorry I do not have the quote in English).

By the way, Madison, author of The Federalist, was not precisely a K supporter.

As I said before, it is a sad day for democracy and the rule of law, a happy day for absolutism and the abuse of power.

Remember that you can be arrested without at the orden of a judge ;) at the Kingdom of yellow ballons and happiness.

Why do you think that it is sad for K supporters?
It is a sad day for democracy because people voted congresmen, not judges.
What the heck is the meaning "of people voted congresmen (sic), not judges?"
Why is it a sad day for democracy because of it (whatever it means)?
What are you trying to say?

If you read the memes of the Troll center of Marcos Peña they assert that people voted for sending this people to jail BUT are judges who judge people not the Congress neither the Executive Power. If judges arrest people because the mob feel like or they follow orders of the President like they do nowadays, we are under a tiranny.

Read the quote I posted of Madison, it is very clear if you understand Spanish. Or you can google it in English, it is a famous quote.

Oh when are people going to come to their senses?

There are two kinds of Law:
  • Common Law.
  • Kirchenrista Law.
Let's not confuse ourselves, Bajo is an expert in Kristina law so please stop bullying him... ;).

What makes you think that the judges are arresting people because the mob or the President wants them to and judges are not applying the law (if that is, in fact, what you intended to say)? How does the de Vido arrest relate to this belief of yours? Wasn't he arrested for corruption, specifically diverting state money for his own benefit? Is it not against the law to steal from the state?
Exactly what quote from Madison's Federalist Paper #10 are you referring to? (Your post was not to a quote of Madison. It was to a Wikipedia section on the Federalist papers.) I appreciate that English is not your first language, but I have trouble comprehending what you mean because your thoughts are not clearly expressed.

I agree with Bajo Cero.

In fact what I find interesting in this forum is how we expats, who mostly hail from the "developed" world, and could be expected to be well-versed in civic society values such as, for example, the separation of the powers, the presumption of innocence, the concept of 'sub judice' etc., seem quite happy to abandon them and 'go native' in our analysis of our adopted society.

Nobody seems to have any interest in discussing the merits or the facts of the cases. Instead, just like our Argentine neighbours, we get caught up in the whipped-up excitement of a photo of a handcuffed politician in a bullet-proof jacket and tin hat. Echoes of a 19th century Paris mob, or a Stalinist show trial.

Well, according to Bajo's assertion it's ok for the previous regime to put so many judges in their pockets; a fact that he conveniently forgets. Not to mention the procurator general Gils Carbo, who should have been fired years ago.

Prosecutors are for lifetime in this country.
That the President threatens judges on TV is a notorious fact.
