I am a new member, though i have been living in mendoza and bariloche for more than 3 years. I am in desperate need for some reliable information.
I need an honest customs broker in BA who will deal with the last of my 2 or 3 extensions of my visa with customs, because my belongings arrived here too quickly from abroad.
I was using transpack, but i would never recommend them to anyone! They speak and write in fluent English, indeed the CE is american. But their ineptness and failure to contact me about extensions has resulted in many problems with AFIP and migraciones.
I have the guarantee bond for the goods, and only need the person to deal with the extension and now fines for several months whilst i have been unable to find someone to help me.
Any help is appreciated.
Transpack had my ARG postal address and phone number, but only contacted me though an "old" UK email address for 6 months! This caused many problems and fines because of late visa renewals with customs. Later, I received a bill from the bond company, though I had paid for the guarantee! I was shocked to see that the policy was for about $USD70, but they were charging $USD 240 just for the premium with Prudential! They charge extra for every service, even when they may not provide it.
I asked for receipts for the charges they said they had paid to customs for my importation, and they refused. If anyone is interested, i would be pleased to post the "statement" they sent me for 2 years of their services. Anyone who has run a business, or even manages your personal finances will be amazed at what they sent me.

Also, I read the thread about apostilles. I had to receive my birth certificate with an apostille from the city and state where I was born,,.,
many years ago. I had no friends or family in that state or area. I searched the internet and found a law office where they kindly allowed me
to transfer my funds to their account. They dealt with both the birth certificate they needed to collect from Cleveland, Ohio.. and also had the apostille stamp from Columbus, Ohio... neither a quick nor easy journey and task, because they had to wait in queues in both offices.
they were wonderful and virtually saved my life! You can find good and reliable people and services on line!
