Airlines Restrict Ticket Sales

I agree. As much as I dislike KFC, she is no Ceaușescu.

She currently does not have nearly the same level of absolute power as Ceausescu did during his heyday. I respect your opinion, but in my view, someone as power hungry, vain and egocentric as CK is, would behave pretty much the same as Ceausescu did if she had the powers he had. Absolute power corrupts. Specially someone as corruptible as Cristina.

The bigger news in that article is that GM has stopped importing cars from Brazil? I may be late in finding out (been away the last few weeks) but that's pretty significant.

You can't blame the airlines for protecting themselves against the peso's falling value. I thought they were able to exchange at the current rate immediately, but if American Airlines and others are forced to hold on to pesos before being to allowed to move or exchange the money, it only makes sense that they put time limits on the purchase of tickets. This isn't a mandate, but rather a natural consequence of Argentina's policies and crumbling peso.

As for Cristina... she's not a mass murderer. :D She has a Queen and savior complex, but I'm not sure she'd ever result to the type of atrocities seen with dictators. She deals with her political enemies in other ways (hitting them in the pocket or with regulations.) Given more power she'd probably just jail people or do what she wants without regard... not push people out of planes or commit mass murder. Her mantra is 'democracy' and if she loses that, she loses her power. In any case, I'm glad she hasn't gone full dictator and we'll never find out. :p

I'm glad I booked my flight to the UK a few weeks ago then.
Good luck to Davidglen in his endeavours too and I have to say that there are times that I wished mine was a one way ticket.

I lived in Argentina during the Proceso, and even that did not show Ceausescu levels of absolutism and brutality. I'm no fan of Cristina's, but your argument does not even work as hyperbole.
