AYSA invoices begin to arrive with increases of up to 200%. Rate increases start at 20% and are in effect from August 1.
For the middle and lower sectors there will be removal of subsidies and new increases in the coming months....

....in the agreement with the IMF it was foreseen that there would be new increases as of September 1. But seven weeks before the elections on October 22, Minister Sergio Massa seems to have chosen to stop this rise, since he has not yet made it official despite the commitment assumed with the IMF. In this way, the electricity and gas rates would fall within the "freeze plan" that Massa has been applying to prevent inflation from escalating even more and this undermines his electoral chances. For August, economists expect a rise of around 11%, which would reach 12% this month. Instead, AYSA's increments go ahead without delay. In addition, in this case the increase was ordered without public hearings that allowed the voice of consumers to be heard. "In defense of the consumer we have gone back years in recent times," said González.

Prepaid medicine: the affidavit can now be completed so that the fee is frozen. The fee increase freeze is in effect for 90 days. The Superintendence of Health Services enabled the digital form on the agency's website (https://www.sssalud.gob.ar/misssalud) for prepaid medicine affiliates to declare whether they meet the requirements for their fee to be frozen for the month of October. However, there are still some open questions about these requirements....

....Those who do not carry out this procedure before the SSSalud will not have the quota frozen and the increase that arises from the Health Cost Index will be applied. The quota increase freeze is valid for 90 days, for the months of October, November and December. Meanwhile, affiliates must pay the invoices with the September increase - of 7.18% or 5.58% - because they were sent to affiliates in the second half of August....

The Gov't made three central decisions regarding electricity and gas rates. First, it resolved an increase in electricity that will reach up to 150% average for users in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) for clients of Edenor and Edesur. Second, it defined an indexation mechanism starting in May that will take into account salaries and inflation. Third, it delayed the gas increase again....

Don't want to pay patente in CABA?
Buy a hybrid ! Toyota sells a few hybrid models here for similar money to USA prices (for the corollas ) and Ford sells an Escape Hybrid as well.
Hybrids and electric cars pay $0 patente in CABA and many other provinces. For the uninformed, patente equals roughly 5% of the value of the vehicle per year.

Any hybrid USVs?
Toyota RAV 4 ( 50% more than USA)
Toyota Corolla Cross (sort of SUV, same price as USA)
Ford Kuga (sold in USA as Ford Escape, 50% more than in USA)

Toyota Corolla sedan hybrid also sold at same price as in USA.

If I was in the market for a compact sedan or compact crossover I would buy a Corolla or Corolla Cross Hybrid right now. No patente costs, 50 mpg fuel economy, Toyota reliability, modern tech.
