Alternative To The Beach

Can someone please recommend a nice outdoors type of place by a lake somewhere not too far from BA? I want to rent something for a couple of days for about 8 people and take a little mini vacation, I want to avoid the beaches because for some reason I think its gonna be a pain in the ass.

i agree with lobos. its a really good option. go ride horses, spend some time in the open air. stay at a quinta. good option.

I dont want to do ANYTHING excepts relax by the water on a beach chair next to the BBQ with a beer in my hand...no hiking no horses etc...
