Alternative To The Beach

Although exist recent (after 2010) scientifics reports that stand that they do pollute. The problem is that UPM represents more than the 5% of Uruguays GDP, gives jobs to lot of urugayan, etc, so there are a lots of interests.

Anyway, what I ve been told it must be enough, people who live there told me personally that the water was warmer due the paper mill. And uruguayos were all pro-Botnia (now UPM).
There are times when I simply don't believe what I read, but after I closed my eyes and opened them again, it was still there.

In a few lines you claim that the following 14 judges at the International Court of Justice are corrupt and paid by Uruguay: Tomka, Koroma, Al-Khasawneh, Simma, Abraham, Keith, Sepúlveda-Amor, Bennouna, Skotnikov, Cançado Trindade, Yusuf, Greenwood; Torres Bernárdez, Vunuesa.

You also claim that 4 (four) scientific reports plus Comisión Administradora del Río Uruguay either are corrupt and paid by Uruguay or have no idea what they talk about.

I must assume you have spent too much time during the heat wave without air condition in your padded cell.

Look, lets use common sense. Once I heard the ex chancellor Taiana (who I admire) say something like this: Uruguay has chosen to protect the Uruguay Natural area, which is the coast from Colonia to Rocha to the tourism. Tourism is one of the big bussiness for Uruguay. And then, to this bussiness of the paper mill, they designated the Uruguay river coast. So it looks strategically distribuited, nice beaches to tourism and not so nice beaches to the mills.
The question is, if there wasnt any pollution, why didnt they put the mill near Monetvideo, or Punta del Este, or Colonia? Why didnt they put it close to the Rio de la Plata? Why did they hide the mill upstream?

There also exists a scientific report from Argentina that says thet UPM do pollute (from 2013, not 2010)

I don't believe it!!:
1. Foreign Minister Timerman announced that the scientific report warns of pollution generated by exBotnia in the Uruguay River.
2. Argentina afirma ... blah, blah

I read on the wall of a public toilet, that Argentina will drop a nuclear bomb on Montevideo.
For good reasons I trust writings on walls of public toilet more than Timerman.

Exactly where is this socalled scientific report?

Matias, please translate this for me: "Integrante argentino del Comité Científico".

Could it possibly mean: "Argentine member of the Scientific Committee"?

It is like this: If the party is not partisan (in this case with a dispute between Argentina and Uruguay from neither of the countries), whatever they write may be trusted, unless, of course, it goes straight against several independent scientific reports and the International Court of Justice.

I know it is water vapor, because that is the conclusion of the exmination of the independent examinations.

Please explain how they are not prohibited in Europe, the exact opposite of your fantasies.

well if your argument is that you dont trust argentine scientifics and do trust the "independent", then my argument is that I dont trust the so called "independent".
I dont believe there are independent scientifics in the world today, that goes of course to the argentinans too, as I told you there are lots of interests and the "independent" reviews if Im not wrong were about 3 years ago, while the report I claim was from this year.
There have been thousands of veredicts changed, in fact at first The Hague ruled agaisnt Uruguay (then against Argentina), and the lawsuit is not finished

Botnia at one time were going to build the mill on Argentine soil.

Why did they not do it?

Absolutely nothing to do with strict Argentine controls and more to do with the huge amount of people looking for a token of Northern European friendship and brotherly love..........

the current Argentinian government doesnt give a rats ass about environmental pollution. Their motivations are purely political and financial. They are just upset they were cut out of the deal and wont be getting their slice of the pie. So they retaliate the only way they can, politically and legally, using environmental concerns as a smoke screen. All this while their ignorant masses eat up everything they say.
Having said all that, ECF bleaching does contaminate the environment, it might be in small amounts, but it does, thats just a simple scientific fact. Is it negligible? Thats the real question, the truth of which we will see on the environment and the people living in that area over the next decade. But having raw sewage from Argentina being released into the water supply only compounds the problem and I dont hear any Argentinians up in arms about that.
Like I said, its purely political.

Everyone in Entre Rios knows that Botnia came first to Gualeguaychu to build the plant , but the level of "Demands" was such that Botnia left for the opposite edge of the River and completed the project in Uruguay. Argentina has never recovered the level of Anger was astronomical. Kirchener was on fire, they will never forgive Botnia or the Uruguayans for offering better terms for investment...... and stealing the Project--- :D
