An Argentinian doctor making $50k a year survives how exactly?

I know of a vascular specialist doctor in Salta that worked in a grotty public hospital and also his one room private clinic that was also part sponsored with public hospital funds. He said he was earning US$2000/$70 000 per month. That was more than a year ago. I'd be very suprised if fully fledged doctors in Argentina earn less than $60-80 000 per month.

Define full "fledged" doctor?

'full fledged' = adj (of a bird) having reached full development with fully grown adult plumage; ready to fly.

As in no longer junior, all preliminary on job training done. Iow in most cases doctors of about 30 yrs of age upwards.
