There was a big football match yesterday held in Washington, D.C. and when the anthem for one of the teams, El Salvador, was played with all the players on the field with their hands on their hearts, a look of confusion befell them as it was the anthem for Kazakhstan!
El Salvador, Kazakhstan, Albania.. I guess they figure it's all the same...it's not the USA!

Since for most Americans, LATAM is nothing but one big Mexico, this change is a bit welcomed. They could have played a song from the boy band Juan Direction instead. So I view it as progress.

Flag and anthem mix-ups are actually pretty common. At the London Olympics, the North Korean women's soccer team was welcomed with the South Korean flag at a game against Colombia. In June 2012, London Cup hockey organizers played South Africa's apartheid-era anthem at a game between SA and the UK. And in Switzerland, banned Nazi lyrics were shown as subtitles to the German national anthem at the 2008 UEFA soccer championship. You obviously already know about the Kazakh anthem debacle.

North and South Korea that is really a major f... up!Didn't know about any of the above-mentioned!

In the United Kingdom they still play a national anthem that promises to crush the rebellious Scots

Its the fourth or fifth verse ....
