Another newcomer to Buenos Aires

My name is Daniela (or Danni) and I have just arrived in Buenos Aires to work as a primary English teacher at an international school in Olivos. I am originally from Scotland and previously worked in London (my parents are Italian, hence the name). I thought I could get by with the Spanish I learnt at school, but after a few days I realise my knowledge is quite pathetic. Practically all my work colleagues are porteños so I would really love to meet up with some fellow ex-pats - I don't know a great deal about Buenos Aires but I am looking forward to exploring the city, especially since so many of you have stated that you have fallen in love with the place.
