Anyone Know How To Get Adderall Down Here? Or Have Extra?

that was the plan till the friend bailed :(

I was hoping either 1) it was possible to get it on the black market here or 2) someone wanted to sell theirs that they weren't using. Again, I can provide prescriptions galore :(

I have ADHD. I've tried for nine years, every way I could, to get Adderal here. Up to now my efforts have been a total failure. My original plan was to have the medication shipped to me from the US, but the first several times it was sent, it was lost or stolen. It never arrived. So I abandoned that.

The closest thing I've come up with is getting amphetamine in Chile or Brazil, where they will prescribe it for ADHD (here, most doctors still don't believe that ADHD exists). I haven't done this (yet), but I have a psychiatrist here (a specialist in ADHD who travels to Boston several times a year) who has told me that if you have a doctor's prescription, you won't be bothered by customs when returning to Argentina.

Methylphenidate (Ritalin) is available here, but like some other posters, it doesn't work for me.

Reading through some of the comments on the threads here about this, it reminded me about how sad it is that there's so much ignorance about ADHD, and about amphetamine and Adderall. I really don't talk about ADHD anymore, but back in the States, after I was diagnosed and learned all about this extremely complex and strange disorder, I was very surprised to discover that every single person I knew -- family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances -- had degrees in psychiatry that they'd apparently been hiding from me, and they were all willing and eager to give me their personal diagnoses and their views on my medications. And to judge me. -- End of rant.

Anyway, wish I had better news. If you come up with a solution, please post it or send me a message.

I don't mean to stir up things or anything. However I have ADHD-I (I took Concerta and Strattera at one point) and my unfinished major was psychology (which I might decide to finish here). That being said I'm not a big fan of ADHD medication, ADHD is VERY REAL, however I think it shouldn't be prescribed in most cases (there are other ways). I don't think ADHD is all bad, there are many good things that come with the whole package and a therapist who could teach some coping mechanisms for the bad parts of it could allow you to have the benefits without most of the drawbacks. It's just part of our culture to want quick fixes and after all these years we still haven't learned the lesson. It's a fact that people with ADHD are A LOT more likely to develop addictive behaviors (self esteem, having a harder life, biology). Are we really as a society trying to fix that by giving them drugs that they might not really need? Finally, yes some cases of ADHD are so severe that medication is needed, however it should never go unsupervised and anyone taking ADHD in those cases should be attending periodic therapy. Even in severe cases I would love it if there were a better solution. We do live in a world controlled by big pharma, so are they going to invest in research that will cost them billions? Of course not, they will develop new drugs that they help them sell more billions by saying they're cutting edge, when in fact they will only be a slightly better alternative of the same failed policy.

I also have been diagnosed with ADHD--in fact both my kids too (seems to be a genetic link!). For my first years here I'd bring, and have family members bring, enough adderall to keep using it. But then, tired of the stress of arranging to get it, I decided to stop. It is definately an advantage of the Argentine lifestyle that no one expects super productivity and everyone understands that it simply takes longer and is more complicated to get even the simplest of tasks done here than in the US. Consequently without the pressure to be multi tasking and forever running, I've been managing just fine. Sure I'm not as organized or productive as before, but I'm less anxious and more authentic. And I'm sure my liver appreciates it!

I won't be able to get my prescription refilled until I go back to the USA in December and I'm out of adderall. Not a great situation since they don't sell it down here as far as I know. Does anyone have any experience on this? Or does anyone want to make a quick few bucks and sell me some? I'd be happy to prove I have a prescription :)

It doesn't seem like the generic websites ship to Argentina...

PM me if you'd like -- or post any information here.

Hehehe... I am a hemophiliac and pain management is most important to me, but doctors here are rather reluctant to prescribe you any sedative or opioid based drugs.
Few month ago I went in middle of night with terrible pain, and I asked doctor that prescribe opioid based pain killer, and he looked at me like I was a junkie, since then I never ask any doctor for any pain killer, just plain simple Brufen.

yeah, I've had one poster who had some extra that was brought from the US. Thanks to him. That seems to be my best bet. Definitely don't like feeling judged either. Feel free to PM me if you are able to help :)

Before I came here, I was taking Adderall for five years. It improved my life by about 1000%. Now I've been back to being without it for nine years, and I'm back in hell.

For most people, "coping mechanisms" don't work. ADHD is a physical, neurological disorder. You can't fix it by talking about it, just like you can't fix diabetes by dieting.

Adderall is not a "quick fix" for ADHD. It is a medication to control it. And it's really irresponsible to talk in such terms about a serious medical condition.

Bump for this. I guess I'm asking if anyone's got extra they'd like to get rid of for a nice price @ this point. PM me.

I have the condition, as I said. And I'm note being irresponsible. I had my own share of hell. I simply changed my perspective and I didn't need adderall to do that. I respect those who choose to go down that road, I simply have an opinion about the whole thing.
