This is a good drill and plenty adequate for my (fix things around the house and hang some pictures) needs.It is variable speed but no ratchet so can't use as a screwdriver. Other than that, perfect. Ries, as you know, my art budget and needs are probably (relatively) equal to your tool budget and needs.

I am sure its just fine, Tom. I was in the Lowes store today, and the same basic machine is the same price in Mt Vernon Wa.
Thats pretty amazing- I would expect an imported drill to be MORE in Argentina.

My new Bosch was made in Brazil. Did you notice where the Lowes Bosch was made?

The "cheap" bosch at Lowes was actually about ten dollars more than you paid- and it was made in Malaysia. The reason I, personlly, being the tool nut that I am, would pay $140-$180 for one is the higher end Bosch tools are still made in Germany.
But I would bet that finding a made in germany model in Argentina these days is almost impossible.
