Top Expat Destinations 2014

Ecuador is number one? Has anyone been there before? Is it nice?
 
Managed to top Venezuela, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay in South America. Bravo, Argentina.
 
It has to do the fact, among others of course, that the economy in Ecuador is dollarized. The currency there is the US American dollar.

I don't recall Argentina being the top retirement destination back when the economy here was too dollarized.
 
And cheap cheap cheap! But too much crime for me with the exception of Cuenca which has a huge expat community and is safer than here.
