Panama is getting expensive. $2200 might not cut it there. Living in a beach town in Ecuador might be the best place for the old navy guy, e.g Salinas. Very inexpensive. Of course ROP is cheaper.

Roofed in tile. Very nice touch. The reason of me asking due to seeing very nice houses in Chile but when seen from above it was covered by " zinc " panels !.... I have seen many such construction in poorer countries such as in the Caribeans, so wondering if exists in the Argies too ?...
 
US$2k over can get a very nice living in the south-east Asia nations. Or even in many LatAm countries as well.
