Argentine things you've been converted to....

My mom tries to get us to have dinner at 4:30pm. I call it a late lunch. I hate that many restaurants close at 8 or 9 pm in the states.

Waiting in line? To each their own. I suppose it has helped me some with impatience. Eating late is wonderful. It's so hard to adjust to even a 7 pm dinner time when I visit the States.

Depending on the time zone back in the States, there should be little to no adjustment.

Just DON'T CHANGE YOUR WATCH WHEN YOU GO HOME!!

Stay on Argentina time!!

For instance, right now TEXAS (except El Paso) is BA -3.

Dallas/Austin/Houston 7:30pm = 10:30pm Buenos Aires

It's easy to just keep the same schedule.

D/A/H bars close at 2:00am = 5:00am Buenos Aires (a little early, but not terrible)

D/A/H people wake up at 6:30am-7am = 9:30am-10am Buenos Aires time (a little early, but not terrible ;) )

Problem solved.

I guess you're right. We are in LA/Vegas for the majority of our visits which is our hometowns. 5 hours difference. Its difficult to though because we want to be with our friends'/family's schedule and we usually stay there for a month or more.

You can always eat in a casino in Vegas at anytime, but locals usually avoid casinos. My boyfriend thought it was so weird the first time he was in Vegas with me and didn't step foot in a casino the whole 2 weeks.

So I guess you're a Texan. :)

Napoleon is correct don't change your watch. and if you are visiting the Left Coast 5:30 = 10:30 :)
Re: Supper at 4:30 to 7:00 Vs. 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM
If you sleep all day, dance all night and show up to work only on the 29th like a Ñoqui you probably will not have a job the States for very long.

Yogurt firme: I love the texture, the only issue is that they only know how to make it in 5 different flavours: natural, strawberry, dulce de leche, banana and vanilla! Why don't they try other fruit flavours like in the rest of the world?
Small flowers shops everywhere (some of them are open 24/7, not that I need to buy or receive flowers at 4 am, but it is nice to see their nice flowers and I really like the smell of constant incense sticks burning.)
On the other hand there are plenty of European things I am trying to convert Argentinian people to...

Chimicurri..... I dont know if I can eat a steak without this stuff anymore!!!!

Malbec wine... never drank much wine before I came here 3 years ago... now I cant think about not having a good bootle of red with a steak at least once a week!

Like others said.. the Ice Cream here is great.. and a nice walk with a 1/4 kilo just wandering around on a sunday is a great time!!

Bakery products.. homemade fresh rolls, bread, medalunas etc....

the picada..... never really ate stuff like this... never even ate green olives but I have to admit..I have learned to love a nice picada!!!

Having stuff delivered!!!!... got to love going to a disco or a carrefour buying 12 cokes, 6 milks 4 waters etc and loading up a huge basket of food... then having it brought to your apartment door in 30 minutes.... delivery here is a dream.... everything can be delivered here.... it is amazing!!

The magazine Caras is hilarious. All the posing and superficiality. It's really quite funny.

Idea probably imported from Europe, but it is silly.
