Arnet users: anyone else having Skype problems?

Have experienced problems with Skype. One time could not access Internet because of a scheduled maintenance, so they said: search function. However, though I could not do any searches, Skype worked. Sounds crazy, but I suspect they are directing Skype through some other throttled port or whatever:application sensitive. Friend told me to try http://www.firebind.com/about/ to see if they are indeed throttling Skype.
