Arriving in 2 weeks - software or English jobs?

Hi all,

Well, indeed looks like I'll be in Argentina very soon - cannot wait!

I've sent in a half-dozen applications for positions for English speakers to write software (Java, J2EE, Windows, Unix, tech support), but if AR is anything like USA, six is not enough.

I've also looked for English-teaching jobs but its not so forthcoming as I'd thought.

I'm hoping to get a couple interviews lined up, and I'm not at all picky here.

Thinking about Cordoba primarily, and of course BA.

I did see some earlier posts on this, but they're a bit dated. If anyone's got suggestions I'll be sure to follow them up.
