To keep rates low, the government has been subsidizing energy to the tune of about $6.5 billion annually, according to think tank Ecolatina.

How many mouths can be fed or houses can be build with this amount every year?

Um.. BlahBlah - the answer to your question is right in the article. Did you read it? If so - it clearly says

"So far there hasn't been a single ruling that would affect rates across the nation. Each court's decision applies only to rates in the court's district.
But Chamatropulos said that if the government or any of the gas companies appeal the cases, the issue could make it to Argentina's Supreme Court."
