ATM Card Dead

My ATM card has finally worn itself out to the point it isn't working. A new one is on the way but not here yet. I need someone who will let me have someone in the US put money in their account (few hundred bucks) and give me the money here in BA.

US Bank

Wachovia

Buy you lunch/Starbucks for your efforts.

Are you from Nigeria by any chance? Do the numbers four, one and nine mean anything to you?

Seriously, I'm sorry about your situation but if you have a line of credit available to you or have money sitting in your own account, you should be able to access your cash over-the-counter from an appropriate bank by showing them your card and some other ID. What a pessimistic group here... Seems the only one with something to lose here is NikBaires since he is putting the money into your account in the States first, and then you pay him. I'd be happy to help, but I don't have an account at any of those banks...

Agreed - there isn't anything he could do with an account and routing number so if I'm reading correctly, the risk would be his.

To the OP - the easiest thing is probably to wire yourself some money via western union or one of those. Good Luck.

It might not be an issue, as long as the deposit is not a fake check or money order (as in many variations of the online scams) with the money withdrawn before the deposit clears. Then the account holder is on the hook for the total amount and fees. Not saying that is the case here, but anyone willing to lend their bank account to a stranger should be aware.

@NikBaires; for the price of that lunch/Starbucks you offer, have that person in the US send you the money via one of the online services like Xoom; http://www.xoom.com then pick it up at any of their branches.

Perhaps you should seek Argentines who want to get their money out of this country. You put money into their account in the US,..and they give you their pesos here. ( In the past I was approached here in BA, with this offer.)
