Ba Bookshop Capital Of The World...

Bigger than any bookstore or library. You can take it anywhere. And it is very nice to the trees.

But you can't color it. It just won't sell in Mississippi.

Borrowed time unfortunately , what with Amazon`s evil empire waiting to pounce.

And long may it continue I say.
The KEL bookshop in Martinez is one of my favourites and although it's ugly, warehouse looks are not very inviting, it's packed with thousands of books in English.
I've been going there for ten years. The staff are really helpful and often you can find books that are no longer in print.
Seeing as it was my birthday on Thursday, I went there to find one book, A Planet for The President by Alistair Beaton which I once owned but accidentally lost in a hotel and there it was waiting for me.
You'd be hard pressed to find such as vast collection of books in English in many other non-English speaking countries.
When I walk into KEL I feel a kind of peace and tranquility come over me and I'll never do that electronic Kindle stuff. Never ever.

Understood. My Gradma could not get past the analog phone either. It happens.
bad for the trees though.

Do you have the address of this bookstore ??? Is it near the Martinez train station ???
I also have a Kindle Fire, but nothing beats the genuine article.
I use my Kindle when there are power outages. No TV, No internet, No lights, no radio.
I can use to read in complete darkness.

It's right next to the Panamericana mate, on Emilio Frers.
Not the easiest of places to get to without a car.
Here's a link to the map:

Well, some Americans definitely could use more time at the book store.
