Caught Raul Lavie show at Torquato Tossi on Av Defense 1575 , www.torquatotasso.com.ar. The entry fee was 120 pesos. Food and wine at popular prices. A good spot for high calibre local talent. A pleasant alternative to the high priced touristy tango cena shows.

Some events coming up in May include: Feria Puro Design - http://www.feriapurodiseno.com.ar/13/index.php

AES+F in Faena Arts Center - http://faena.com/en/artscenter-new/exhibition-landing/#!/

Cat Power in Teatro Coliseo - http://www.ticketek.com.ar/Conciertos/Jazz-Blues-Soul-HipHop/CAT-POWER__POWERCOLI13

I love this thread, well there is a big festival every month in BA, my favorites are the book fair, the Nations’ fair and since this year the BAFICI (movie festival), also I love to go to Lagos de Palermo every now and then. I am planning to visit every museum in the city, until now I have visited the Museo de Bellas Artes, Malba and Museo Sivori, they are awesome and only at the Malba I had paid to get into the first and second floor, the main floor was for free.

Thanks for the reminder. I totally spaced this AND... it's not too late to catch it!

I'm going to grab a few canvas grocery bags (from Trader Joe's of course) and head on out to the park. I'll be wearing a ballcap and carrying lots of Pesos if anyone wants to come motochorro me.

The big photography exhibit at the Recoleta Cultural Centre detailing families in the villas/favelas etc around Latin America is quite draining to look at but of superb quality and well worth seeing. It makes one surprised how little crime there actually is, when the conditions a lot of people live in could easily be their justification for criminal activities.
