1. Cheapest place to buy? (Carrefour Sancor 1 800g 140 pesos, Nutrilon 1 309 pesos)
2. Anyone else have bad reactions (lots of crying) with Sancor 1?

Our two week old was fine and just recently started crying a lot usually after being bottle fed. She breastfeeds and is topped off with formula. We've been using Sancor 1 but everyone suggest the more expensive Nutrilon. She's a bit constipated and we suspect her belly aches or her intestines are backed up. We're going to try Nutrilon 1 and if she still is extremely fussy it's off to the pediatrician.

Any advice? Thanks expats

Congrats on the new arrival! Is it only with the formula? (Thinking maybe it could be reflux).

Do you need to use formula? If it's possible, may be easier just to keep her on breast milk for a while and let her insides settle down and then try again in a week or two. The mom's supply should ramp up over a few days. But if you want to use formula, you may want to try Makro or Dia or one of those wholesale type stores. They sell the case of little containers of formula and should be cheaper.
(BTW - not anti-formula at all or trying to be preachy just thinking some time for the intestines might make it easier to reintroduce later on).

Also, there is a baexpat parents group on FB, worth joining if yoiu haven't. You will get lots of great advice there :)

I went ahead and bought Nutrilon 1 at farmacity, 800g for 298 pesos. We will see how she does.
