A beautiful plate book to do with Argentina sold today in PBA Galleries, Berkeley, California for 5500 dollars plus 25% commission fees. I believe the book will be broken and the plates will be sold individually, (Nov 18, 2021, Lot 231) to well-off expats from Argentina living in the US.
Do any book auctions, or any art auctions take place in Argentina or Chile? I consigned some ephemera to an auction house in Mexico City some years ago, and they were very professional, and I had no problems with payment. I have fooled around auction houses for most of my life, as a pastime and sometimes as a serious punter.
