I wish I could have been there to see Bernie in person in my hometown, but I listened to his inspiring speech online.

I guess Bernie supporter = Maduro supporter?

But remember, Venezuela is not real socialism.

But remember, Venezuela is not real socialism.

Neither is Grampa Bernie. Regardless, nothing will change. I remember the hysteria in 2008 over the utterly worthless Obama. As Emma Goldman pointed out, if voting could change anything, they'd have abolished the ballot box.

The Soviet Union was not a real socialism. Neither was Red China, North Corea, East Germany, Yugoslavia, Poland, Cuba, Rumania, Bulgaria, Hungary, etc. Then, what is the real socialism, your own version?

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, public school, postal service, interstate highways, etc.........

There is a lot of, understandable, confusion about what socialism, social democracy, and democratic socialism, mean.

Social Democracy is what Bernie, AOC and the progressive left, for the most part, stand for.

Most people don't have the time or inclination to do the heavy lifting of reading through tomes of political sciences academia to understand the fine details of these important distinctions.

In some part, due to this lack of clearly defining terms, a lot of the discourse and dialogue between those from varying political persuasions miss these core details and the resulting mess is problematic, to say the least.

"Social democracy...accepts the market principles of capitalism while emphasizing the importance of collective bargaining and unionization, regulatory overwatch and an adequate welfare system."

For a very short, non academic reader which touches on a few key distinctions, have a look here:

Bernie's campaign raised $18.2M in the first quarter after only 41 days. They are hosting Organizing Kickoff events in every state on April 27, events which will lay the foundation for a grassroots campaign.

Are there other Bernie Sanders supporters here who want to join an organizing kickoff on April 27 in Buenos Aires?

I'm voting for Andrew Yang myself though I doubt he'll get the nomination.

Will Cynthia Nixon run for President? ?
Angela Davis new Feminist Political Power?
