Bernie in 2020

Personally, speaking as an old white man, I am done voting for Old White Men. I will be voting for a woman for president in the next election, hopefully one of color, but I will wait and see who the likely choices are.

Now I really want Joe Biden to run against Sarah Palin.

Hilary's prepping her black face right now. One vote down.

I was chatting with an economist friend over the weekend. He said something interesting. He said, "I bet all you expats are hoping Biden doesn't win in 2020. Because if he does, our dollar is going down." To which I replied, "Yeah and if Bernie wins, the dollar is going to parity 1 for 1 with the Argentine peso."

The dollar is strong against the Argentine peso and pretty much all other currencies, because of the strength of the US economy and almost 250 years of capitalism. If Bernie or one of the other socialists wins in 2020, life is going to get very expensive for all expats, because the dollar is going straight down. Those expats supporting Bernie and/or other socialists should be careful what they wish for. Life as an expat will not be the same if one of the socialists wins.

Cute video.

But no amount of trite videos by socialist economists will change the fact that if Bernie or any of his simpleton followers are elected, the dollar will fall dramatically.

Take all the prices you see in the market today. Convert that to dollars using a 25 peso exchange rate. That is what life in BA will be like if one of these ridiculous socialists are elected in 2020.

Bernie Sanders' platform is simple: take from the people who work hard and make money, and give to the people who don't work and have no money. This is the exact opposite of what the US was founded upon.

This platform is as old as the hills. All weak-minded people want something for nothing.

You mean to take Billions of Dollars from the "weak-minded" people to bail out the "hard-working" criminals of failed Big Banks for example?

Is it? Once upon a time, those who were better off not only willingly paid the taxes they owed, but they felt a civic responsibility toward those who were struggling.
