Block those cruise ships, show them what's what!

As mentioned previously, the tourism industry in Ushuaia is definitely not happy about the ban on British flagged Cruise ships.

"Ushuaia tourism industry demand retraction on ban to UK flagged cruises or coming from Falklands.

The president of the Ushuaia Chamber of Tourism again called Tuesday on the Governor of Tierra del Fuego Fabiana Rios to retract from interpreting the ‘Gaucho Rivero’ bill in a way that bars British or convenience flagged cruise vessels from docking in Ushuaia."

Rash and hasty decisions have been the norm for Argentine politics for years. When you have a country that has never done any real long-term planning, where short-term policies reign supreme, then rash and hasty decisions are to be expected.

A large proportion of all cruise ships are flying British flags, and they may have something to say about the subject at the 'Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention 2012', on March 12-15. Argentina's traditional cruise ports may be avoided by the trade because it disturbs their plans, which is costly - the ship suddenly has a spare day, to do what and sail where burning fuel?

That's all the Arg Govt has, after all is said and done.
Rather damage their own economy and people, than lose what little face they have left.
Fucking comedy of errors.
I am not so sure about that.

Shout "Malvinas!" + remove subsidies on gas and electrity + shout "Malvinas!"

- is not such a bad idea as it may seem at first glance.
