Blue @ 1,000: anyone lived through 84/89 or 2001 have any advice?

I've gone to The Trilenium in Tigre a number of times. I only play slots so can't answer your question. The Hippodrome at Palermo, easily on par with Vegas casinos, has everything though again, I stick to slots.
Well I guess I will check it out and let you know? It’s such a fun games if everyone is playing in the same direction.. ie nobody betting against the point or come out..

Any idea if this new rental law only applies to 3 year rentals (which have already ceased to exist so it accomplishes nothing) or to airbnb/alquilares temporarias as well?

https://www.inquilinosagrupados.com.ar/ is your best bet for straight info, but they don't have the briefing up yet. After all, the law just passed this morning, and hasn't come into effect yet.

Do not trust any info coming from any realtor, or any member of the property-owning class; their interests are diametrically opposed to ours in this matter.

I took a quick look at the "innards" of this new law today. Seriously it reads like a joke. A byzantine gawdawful mess. I honestly don't think they could make it less understandable if they tried.

Dólar Departamento: $5,000?

I was at the one in Puerto Madero Saturday and it was packed; that being said, I go for blackjack and the bets are noticeably smaller that people are making, and the players are much wealthier and increasingly tourists.

Still, it's nice to be able to play blackjack for a couple hours at only $2/hand
The Hippodrome of Palermo has changed many of its machines to $1 peso although a few areas still have 25 centavo & 50 centavo slots with an occasional 10 centavo machines. Then they have the "Salon Fear" slot area where I believe the minimum bet is either 250 or 500 pesos and machines also designated in US coins. I see many people wagering 100-500 pesos in the main area. No poverty there!
