Boliva bans coke.

if that's what the sum total of the Mayan calendar apocalypse was all about, I'll take it. :)

I dont think you can get real Inka Kola in BsAs- maybe in the Bolivian markets in Flores? I drink it in the US- most gas stations and minimarts in Miami, for example, have it. Peruvian restaurants all over the US have it, so it has distribution in El Norte.
An artist I like, El Celso, from NYC, just did an installation with Inka Kola in Cuzco- La Luz-

Quoted from the Guardian(UK), April 14, 2010:

"
A certain US soft drinks giant may disagree, but Bolivia has come up with a fizzy beverage it says is the real thing: Coca Colla.
The drink, made from the coca leaf and named after the indigenous Colla people from Bolivia's highlands, went on sale this week across the South American country.
It is black, sweet and comes in a bottle with a red label – but similarities to Coca-Cola end there. One is a symbol of US-led globalisation and corporate might; the other could be considered a socialist-tinged affront to western imperialism.
The first batch of 12,000 bottles, priced about $1.50 (96p) for half a litre, were distributed in the capital, La Paz, as well as Santa Cruz and Cochabamba." M IV

I'd like to try the real stuff but i've never seen it anywhere. I tried the chola de oro that you occasionally see in the fruit and veg places. Its not bad.

The Peruvian restaurant Status has Inka Cola.

I have never seen so much Coca-Cola consumed as in Argentina. It just amazes me. Even in the fanciest restaurants you can see adults drinking Coke.

Sounds like you guys might not be all too familiar with Bilz and Pap http://www.bilzypap.cl/. One of these (I forget which one) is the equivalent of Irn Bru if you know what I am talking about. The other is like a sweeter Inka Cola. These are the national fizzy pop drinks that Chileans quoff in vast quantities. So if you ever go to Chile now you know.

oh i do remember them, they're quite nice but unavailable in Argentina, much like Guarana.

Bilz is a little like irn-bru but its not nearly as good. I'd say its a cross between irn-bru and tizer.

Pap was slightly fruity but incredibly sweet.

I'd buy both if they were available here but sadly its coke, orange, grapefruit, lemon/limeade or Carefour's multifruit. :(
