Greetings readers! The November Book Club Selection will be "the Motorcycle Diaries" by Che Guevara. Join us in reading this iconic book that shows perspectives on life in the southern cone countries during the fifties as viewed by the young Che Guevara from on board his motorcycle. As well as being well written and relatively short it helps us understand the personal experience that seeded an international political movement of one if Argentinas most famous citizens. It is available in Spanish and English and downloadable from Kindle and ITunes. The next meeting will be Wednesday , November 27 at 7:00 PM. All are welcome.
Che, happy reading!

What a great choice .... "Das Kapital meets Easy Rider",

The book has been described as a classic coming-of-age story: a voyage of adventure and self-discovery that is both political and personal.[sup][2][/sup] Originally marketed by Verso as "Das Kapital meets Easy Rider",[sup][3][/sup] The Motorcycle Diaries has been a New York Times bestseller several times.[sup][4][/sup]

I watched the movie and I loved it.

And now you can hear about it all in his own (translated)words! And if you come to the meeting, tell us how differently the book and movie impacted you!

Here are links to a two part story of mine that was picked up by ENN about Guevara.

I'd love to be there for the book club reading, but will be in Colombia on the 27th. Let me know how it goes.
