Brazil visa for US citizen - Duration

I think it's just hit or miss depending on how they feel that day. I was a permanent resident for many years with a DNI and living in Argentina year-round and before they never would give longer than a 1 year visa. It was very annoying as I'd go to Brazil often for vacations and to hit the beaches.

Will Argentina ever get included in visa-waiver program considering it was in 2001.

Just as talk in the US was starting to pick up about allowing Argentina back into the visa waiver program, Cristina started going nuts and the Argentine economy started sliding back down. Some of the same reasons they were excluded from the program (possible desire for Argentine nationals to stay in the US illegally on entry for a tourist visa due to problems here) are starting show up again.
