bringing iPhone into argentina

There are lots of stories about customs and Argentina. I have been crossing borders with piles of electronic equipment for four years (I am a broadcast journalist mostly) and never had a problem. But two years ago my then girlfriend and I were reurning by land from Bolivia and the twit at customs said we couldn´t bring back two laptops with us (one was her´s). We just went back to Bolivia, waited for the shift to change and tried again without problems.

You just never know.

Sorry, I guess the part I missed was why you thought it was making it harder on the rest of us. Couldn't tell if it was tongue-in-cheek or a serious point.

Yeah, I really shouldn't care, but something about it just annoys me. I'll be absolutely livid the day I can't bring my iPhone in because some dumb ass with a US passport gets caught at Aduana with 8 iPads in their original boxes. Seriously, dude. Get a real job! Or at least be a little more sexy about it if you're going to go balls out. Get a cigarette boat and some coke.

Okay. I'm done.

Yes, I can be tongue and cheek sometimes.
