broken kindle- anyone in the UK/EUROPE/US?

Hey guys. I'm really rather distraught, my most prized possession in the world, my Kindle, has bitten the dust. My mum brought it over for me April last year. I turned it on tonight and the screen was completely busticated. COuld only see a couple lines of text in the bottom and the rest was liney and showing through the screensaver. I'm really upset as I'm a massive reader and I can't afford to keep myself even in second hand books here at the read I rate and having to go looking all the time.

IS there anyone abroad who would be willing to bring one back for me? I would be eternally gratefully.

you can get them sent back and repaired but you'll end up having to pay the full whack in tax.

if you complain enough amazon may give you the import tax back in amazon credit.
