Buenos Aires Hash House Harriers

An excellent way to make friends and meet with the ex pat community in Buenos Aires is to join The Buenos Aires Hash House Harriers which is a drinking club with a running problem, they meet every second Sunday always in different parts of city.

There are always 2 trails marked in flour one for machos is about 10km and the other is for wimps and walkers usually about 6km, refreshments (beer) are served on the run and afterwards there is more beer and food all for only 15 pesos $5us, £3 or less than 4 euros, there are many other social events connected with the Hash.

HOW TO GET THERE BY CAR

By car take Libertador heading north until 14500. At this point turn left and drive approx five blocks until you come to the train tracks DO NOT GO UNDER THE BRIDGE.Instead turn right and after about 150 meters you will find the house .The address is Eduardo costa 1098 and the house faces the railway tracks.

BY TRAIN

Take the train from Retiro or Belgrano Central to Acassuso
When you get off the train cross the tracks and you will be on Eduado Costa.Turn to the right and walk 150 meters to the house.

I hope all you hashers had fun!!! For anyone who doesn't know, this is great.

I was in Guyana for an extended peroid (blaghhhh). Hashing was a great diversion. Since hashing in Guyana was as fun as it was, then hashing in BsAs must be spectacular.

I wonder if Banks is better than Quilmes? Doubt it. But then again, i never thought I would find a beer better then Natural Ice (ha ha).

Get to see some of the highlights of Buenos Aires for Free as well as all the beer you can drink.

Place - The office of the Hares in - Peron 346 (Floor 3) and 25 de Mayo, Downtown. An ugly building with a big, black, metal door.

Hares: Underhung and Hanky Panky

Start-time: 19:30 for 20:00 start (sharp due to daylight).

Bring: Knife, fork, plate, mug, Kids - We will set up a conference room with DVD facilities so children can watch films while parents run/drink etc.
Hash Fee ($15)

Important: For Security reasons - if you are coming please send your name and ID number (DNI or Passport) of the people who are coming to [email protected] . If we do not have your name on the list, you will not get past security at the front-door.

Where: Ricardo Gutierrez 1160, Acassuso (Pecker’s house)
Hash Fee: $15
Hares: Suck-a-Duck and Pecker

Bring: MUG, plate, knife, fork, towels and swimsuits to use the pool.

How to go:
By Car: From Buenos Aires, go north on Libertador towards San Isidro. Turn left on General Pueyrredon (at the 14500 block) at stop light (there is a left turn signal). Pepino Restaurant is on the corner. Go 4 blocks from Libertador and turn right on Ricardo Gutierrez. Go one block (crossing General Guemes) and we are the second house on the right (Ricardo Gutierrez 1160).

Public Transportation: Take the train line Mitre-Retiro-Tigre north to Acassuso Station. From the station, go 4 blocks east towards the river on Peru and turn right on Ricardo Gutierrez. Go 3 blocks and our house is on the left (Ricardo Gutierrez 1160).

Hi,

I would like to join the Hash Run Harriers group in B.A. but have been having trouble finding any updated information....Does anyone know who the Hash master is and where I can get information?

HOW TO GET THERE
By Train from Retiro or belgrano central Take the mitre line in the direction of Tigre get off at acassuso cross the tracks and you are on Eduardo costa look for 1098 and you are there.


By car head north on Libertador until 14,500 at the pepino sign turn left and drive straight on until you come to the railway line.Do NOT Cross the tracks, Turn right one block and look for 1098

What to bring, drinking vessel plate knife and fork.

Hello,

Regarding this Sunday's St. Patrick's Day Run on March 22:

I have never run with the Hash House Harriers before, but I think I should try! Is anyone interested in traveling together from Capital Federal? We could meet-up in the train station...

Thanks for the information. I will definitely try to make it! I used to go to the hash runs here back in the early 90´s, lots of fun!
