Buying bus tickets online

I have never bought bus tickets for travel in Argentina online. I always buy in person at bus company offices in bus stations on the day, or a few days in advance if possible. The only times when there could any difficulty are Christmas, Easter and the peak holiday weekends of January and February and quite literally the only time I ran into any difficulty was on Friday 16th February 2007 (it had been an extraordinary day in many other ways, that's why I remember it). Even then, I still got a seat on that night's bus but had to take a different route to my final destination. There really shouldn't be any payment problems at all, in person at a bus company counter.
