In Buenos Aires the entire restaurant is considered a play area. As long as you don't watch your kids, allow them to run up and down aisles, have a shouting match and completely ruin the dining experience of all those around them, you'll fit right in.
On a more serious note I've only seen one restaurant in Palermo with a separate play area for children, it's called Casa Mua and it's more of a cafe. But the food is pretty damn good. It's on Soler and Julian Alvarez.
