If your devices are rated for 110V don't plug them in to the wall here or you risk damaging them, causing a fire, getting electrocuted etc.does voltage become a problem with US tv’s. 120 vs 230 volts
you need a transformer, most TVs are rated for a single voltage. sometimes frequency can also be an issue but i never had any problems using US TVs in arg.does voltage become a problem with US tv’s. 120 vs 230 volts
I guess this goes for newly purchased goods? Since basically every gadget you carry exceeds this amount. Monitors are not even on expensive side usually, they are just bulky and maybe a bit unusual. You have an allowance of USD 500 upon arrival to EZE; if what you bring goes over the allowance, you may have to pay import taxes on excess of the allowance, you have to expect this but on the other hand, you might be lucky. It's like a lottery.
It may have a physical switch that you need to slide to select between the voltagesMy clothes iron is not happy with either the plug in the wall or the travel adapter which started to have a physical meltdown.
The iron says
2250-2700W
220-240V~
50-60Hz
Anyone any experience of a solution to above if Argentina has a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz
Your iron should work here. The problem is either the wall socket or the adapter or both. Well, it's definitely the adapter now anyway. It ought to have been made of thermosetting plastic - probably phenolic - and should discolour and smell if it gets over hot. If it's melting then you have no certainty of where the metal bits inside have wandered and you ought to discard it before you start a fire. A lot of wall sockets are provisioned for several standards of plug in the same outlet - common is three-pin splayed combined with two pin round - and because of this it may not be making proper contact with the plug you insert. Poor contact = high resistance = heat. High resistance is what makes your iron work so you've got a kind-of mini iron in your socket. My clothes iron is not happy with either the plug in the wall or the travel adapter which started to have a physical meltdown.
