Carr Family In Buenos Aires?

Hi All,

Sorry to be a bore but I'm looking into some family history and it appears there was a stream of the Carr family who owned masses of land in the form of a ranch in Buenos Aires up until around the 1950'- 60's then the trail appears to go cold from what little information I can scratch together. Are there any ways of getting public records in BA? Here in the uk we can easily get birth/death certificates and the like but is there a similar equivalent ther, any help appreciated !

Just trying to piece togehter some stuff for my aged Dad !
