I hear from my doorman that I can buy one of these in Once. He mentioned something about a bazar of some sort. Anyone have any suggestions/help? Saw one in Tigre a while back and went today to see if they still had them....No luck

I got mine from the chinese supermarket...

They are sold pretty much everywhere. Depending on where you live you can find them in chinos or bazaar type stores, even Coto sells them.

I've bought a few on calle Jujuy. There's a row of restaurant supply stores and I bought a big cast iron, probably 12", for 80 pesos. They have a few different stores that sell them there but I could only find one that has all cast-iron (meaning iron handle not wood) at one place.

- which is what professional cooks use - the wooden handles get burnt over time.

You can buy replacement wooden handles at hardware stores.
