hi everyone-
if one changes dollars at the casas de cambio, what are the fees associated with the transactions? thank you!

The fees are incorporated in the rates. So the rate you see is the rate you get.
 
can i walk into any bank to change dollars as long as i have my passport? thanks for the help!

As far as I know you have to have a bank account to exchange currency at the bank. But the rate is usually better at the bank than anywhere else so I suppose it's worth a try, maybe not all banks have the same rules or maybe you could ask a trusted friend with a bank account to help you.
 
At Banco de La Nacion, you only need to be registered in their database. However, they don't have the best rate. In fact, banks usually do not. Look at DolarHoy.com.
