Changing 'old' £50 notes for new ones or other denominations of pounds.

I have just come up against a new money change problem. It seems that the one place I need to do business with will only accept my pounds if they are the 'new' versions of the £50 pound note. The 'old' ones are still perfectly legal tender and will continual to be for a long time but this office just wants the new ones. Can anyone either help me out with changing them for me for other pounds or tell me of a change house that could break them into smaller denomination notes for me. Any help much appreciated. I need them by monday morning. If i have to change them into dollars they will only accept us at a terrible 2 to 1 exchange rate.

No idea where you'll get £'s and be allowed to buy them.
Maybe an idea to contact the uk embassy?
