Want to open an account with them. Does anyone have one, and how good are they?

I am looking for a place that has mutual funds, checking accounts with ATM access, and debit cards.

Right now I'm with a company that only has mutual funds. I have a money market account there, but all I can do is write checks for $250 and up which no one outside the US accepts.

Any ideas?

I don't know much about investment companies, and am bogged down. But this board has come to my rescue in the past, and I trust it will do so once more....!

Me too both the bank and brokerage. Frankly, the big advantage is that the bank does not charge a fee for use if a foreign ATM AND reverses at the end of the month all foreign bank ATM fees you pay when removing money.
It is one of only two financial institutions I'm aware of that do that with zero limits. You open two accounts...one from the brokerage side and one from the bank.

Do you have a checking account, and a card to access it via an ATM?
Yes to both, but I haven't used my Schwab debit card to withdraw cash from an ATM in Argentina in at least twelve years.

I have been using the Schwab debit card online since 2019 when I started making WU transfers to my Santander Rio savings account.

I highly recommend them. As I've posted elsewhere, I'm continually impressed with the people they have answering their phones. They're knowledgeable and smart and very patient. I have a debit card, savings account and brokerage account with them. I also like that each of their departments like bonds or foreign exchange have service reps that will help with decision making and execution.

Ditto to everything that's been said above. Best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Best bank I've ever had an account with. I used to use my debit card in ATMs all over before I moved to Argentina. You have to open a brokerage account and the checking account comes with the brokerage account as a free bonus. You don't have to use their brokerage services, though.

Out of curiosity, what's the second financial institution you're aware of?
