Hi Guys,

I'm new to this site. I keep going to the calendar to find activities for me and my kids--especially now, at Christmas--and it seems to be empty. I'm sure there's information here on Christmas and New Years activities... but I don't know where to look for it.

Can someone send me a link, enlighten me, or tell me about some events/activities to celebrate Christmas?

I am here with my two teens, Magdalena 13 and Ryan 16. We have been here since July.

My kids are miserable because they don't speak Spanish well enough yet. I work from home, and we simply have not yet integrated very well.

I want to find some activities, parties, events, whatever, this week and over New Years where they might be able to meet some young people. I'd love them to meet other Argentine teens, but at this point, I'm reaching out to this community...

Any thoughts?

This is the best season to enjoy time with new friends, instead of feeling isolated in a new country. Are your kids in school in BsAs or outside the city?

From my experience, Christmas is more of a family affair here.

It's tough for teenagers to make friends... maybe enrolling them in some type of activity (sport, class, etc) would help them to learn the language and meet new friends. Now that summer vacation is here, there should be plenty of things they could get involved in.

If you all have DNI, you can join El Club de Amigos

It's dead cheap and I have seen lots of young people. They could take tennis lessons or something.
